Taste 2009 B-K 055Taste’s opening night is a conscientious evening tasting of more than 100 British Columbia wines and the most incredible array of local and seasonal cuisine. Top Victoria chefs who walk the talk supporting local farmers and suppliers will be featured. Sample a cornucopia of tastes and flavours complemented by BC’s finest wines all for just the price of admission! Tickets purchased after July 1st will be held at WILL CALL beginning at 5:00pm at our Taste tent, right side of the driveway at Hotel Grand Pacific, on the night of the event.

Farm to Fisher: An interactive seminar, tasting and tour

Tour the FAS processing plant and learn about sustaining our seas. We will be bringing the farm to FAS with several farm estate wines along with intriguing and informative discussion. With a focus on fresh local seafood, the Pacific Restaurant at the Hotel Grand Pacific invites you to The Big Catch – A West Coast Seafood Boil. Imagine slipping on your flip flops as you exit your beach cabin, smelling the sea air, and making your way down the beach at sunset. The Pacific Terrace will become this west coast escape with DJ Primitive setting the beat as you mingle with select local winemakers and a distiller, sipping wine and spirits while enjoying fresh seafood morsels. The highlight of the evening will be at the long table, where the seafood boil is poured out for all to devour. Plenty of napkins and bibs provided.
