Thank you for applying to showcase your cuisine at Taste’s opening event Thursday July 14, 2016. We are thrilled that you would like to share the bounty of British Columbia with Victoria, Vancouver Island and beyond. Cuisine will be featured during the consumer tasting portion, 6-9pm Thursday July 14, 2016 in both ballrooms of Hotel Grand Pacific. We invite you to sample Vancouver Island and Gulf Island cuisine to 500 foodies and wine lovers. PLEASE REGISTER BY May 10, 2016.  Taste strives to keep the quality the best Vancouver Island can be asking our cuisine suppliers to to comply with our very LOCAL theme and really walk-the-talk when it comes to season and sustainable! Therefore not all applicants are accepted. A $75 participant fee is due at time of registration.

Due to sensitive smoke detection in our venue, we need to be very careful about any setting off the fire prevention system.

However, we are happy to discuss methods for serving your creations hot!

Please be advised that all applicants must hold their own insurance for Taste events. Taste and Travel With Taste Tours Ltd. is not liable for its participants. By registering, you are agreeing to this.

PLEASE ENSURE ALL FIELDS ARE COMPLETED. You can update your submission by submitting a Registration Change Form (emailed to you with your registration confirmation). The event is 6-9pm with move-in from 4:30-5:30pm at the rear entrance loading dock of the Hotel Grand Pacific from Quebec Street. More info to follow upon confirmation of your registration.

Spots with power are available, but limited. Do you require power.

Food Info

  • Due to sensitive smoke detection in our venue, we need to be very careful about any setting off the fire prevention system. Therefore NO COOKING IS PERMITTED ON SITE during the event. We are happy to discuss methods for serving your creations hot!
  • Sampling is requested to be 1-2 ounces with a strong emphasis on local (Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands).
  • Please prepare for 700.
  • Your creation should be easily consumed without cutlery and ‘real’ plate. (This is an attempt to keep as tastings and not a buffet!!)
  • In order to avoid repetition, choice of culinary creation will be based on order of applications received.
  • WHY DON'T YOU BRING A FARMER OR SUPPLIER WITH YOU??? Please talk to me about this and let's educate the masses!
